Fit a whole photo in a square

WhatsApp, Instagram and other apps crop profile pictures to a square, sometimes cutting off your head or your friends. Here you fit the whole photo in a square, with a blurred background or any color you like.

How to use it

  1. Choose your photo.
  2. Pick the background: blurred, white, black or a color.
  3. Adjust the margin if you want more space around it.
  4. Tap “Create image”, download it and use it as your profile picture.

Why does the app crop my photo?

Because profile pictures are always square and often shown as a circle. If your photo is portrait or landscape, the app keeps the middle and cuts the rest. Turning it into a square without cropping shows it whole.

Questions and answers

Does it work for Instagram posts?

Yes. By default the result is 1080 × 1080 pixels, the ideal size for square posts.

Will it look right in a circle?

If your photo is very wide, raise the margin a little so nothing important sits in the corners the circle hides.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything is processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Your photos never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
