Brighten a dark photo
Did your photo come out too dark? Upload it and we brighten it instantly. Adjust brightness, contrast and color until it looks right, then download it.
How to use it
- Choose your photo.
- Check the preview: it’s already brighter. Adjust brightness, contrast and saturation to taste.
- Tap “Create image” and download it.
Why not just turn up the brightness?
When brightening, we lift the shadows more than the highlights, so the photo gains light without blowing out skies or faces. If it looks flat, add a little contrast and saturation.
Questions and answers
Can I make a photo darker?
Yes: move the brightness slider to the left, into negative values.
Does it lose quality?
It’s saved at high quality and the same resolution. If the photo was very dark, some grain may show once brightened, because the camera captured little light.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Everything is processed inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Your photos never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
